In the A320 (MSFS), I try and make sure I'm lined up correctly by 8dme, flaps full by 3dme. Approach at 140kts steady till 500ft, then reduce to 130, at 50ft I throttle back to idle and don't flare till 15-10ft above the threshold. That generally nails a 100-200fpm landing everytime. Practice makes perfect...
